Norilsk Nickel

Engaged in prospecting, exploration, mining beneficiation and metallurgical processing of minerals, Norilsk Nickel is the world's largest producer of palladium and nickel, one of the leading platinum producers and one of the largest copper producers. Norilsk also produces metallic cobalt, rhodium, silver, gold, tellurium, selenium, iridium and ruthenium.

Norilsk Nickel Group is engaged in prospecting, exploration, mining, beneficiation and metallurgical processing of minerals, with further production, marketing and sale of non-ferrous and precious metals.

The two major divisions within the Group are the Polar Division and OJSC Kola Mining and Metallurgical Company (Kola MMC). The Polar Division operates in the Taimyr Peninsula, which lies above the Arctic Circle on the 69th parallel. The Polar Division can be reached by water (the Yenisei River and the North Sea Route) or by air. Kola MMC, the largest industrial enterprise of the Murmansk area, is situated in the Kola Peninsula.
