Prokhorov Confident Asset Division with Potanin will be Resolved by year-end
Mikhail Prokhorov said the issue of dividing up assets with Vladimir Potanin, his partner in the Interros holding company, will be resolved by the end of the year.
'I definitely have confidence that we will manage it by January 1. January 1 -- that's a good timeframe,' Prokhorov told journalists in Sochi on Friday on the sidelines of the Sochi-2007 investment forum.
Concerning his plans for a blocking stake in Polyus Gold and MMC Norilsk Nickel, Prokhorov said the 'divorce' with Potanin would directly affect only those assets that belong to them on a parity basis and that are under management of the investment funds, whereas the shares in Polyus and Norilsk are Prokhorov's personal property and he alone will decide what to do with them.
Commenting on media speculation that he has serious disputes with his long-time partner Potanin, Prokhorov said: 'The problems are highly exaggerated. We have normal relations.'
